Homemade Hickory BBQ sauce for the ribs!
Easy bbq sauce recipe:
2 cups Hickory syrup, 1 minced onion, 2 cups distilled vinegar, 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup water, 2 small cans tomato paste, 1 tsp. Salt to taste, 2 tsp. Cayenne pepper, 2 tsp. Paprika, 1 tsp. Mustard powder, 3 tsp. Smoke seasoning (of your choice) I used BBQ Spot’s “Rub Some Heat” Smokin’ the Pepper seasoning
Prep time 45mins
1. Cook minced onion with 1/2 cup water and 1 cup vinegar until mushy and most of the moisture is cooked out. Do not burn onion
2. Add tomato paste, Hickory syrup, 1 cup vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Cayenne, Paprika, mustard powder, smoke seasoning, and salt.
3. Let simmer for about an hour and a half, stir consistently
4. Use an electric immersion mixer to finish the sauce until smooth
